If you read my other blog (The JazzerBlog) or keep up with me on Facebook, you’ve already seen this picture of my little ones dressed up for Halloween. I’m posting it again here because I can’t help but smile each time I see it. Vincent is a dinosaur, and Eva is Fifi the Poodle. (Thanks, Steph, for the tip on Old Navy costumes!)
Eva and Vincent’s Halloween festivities were completed by noon yesterday, which actually worked out great for George and me.
As usual, they came with me to teach Jazzercise. Their costumes were well received by everyone, and they even got to go around the club trick-or-treating with the wonderful girls who run the childcare. The excitement for my children was off-the-charts; Vincent was asleep before we pulled out of the parking lot, and Eva clenched her bag of candy in her little hand all the way home.
Needless to say, by the time 5 p.m. rolled around, my tiny children were tired and ready for baths. Vincent went to bed while Eva stayed up and helped us pass out candy. She couldn’t quite understand why the kids at the door got candy and she didn’t, so we started giving her one M & M each time the doorbell rang. We finished up the night by having a popcorn party and enjoying a pleasant evening in.
